Lavadoporencargo — Product Design Lead

UX/UI redesign and design system to make a washing and drying service more user-friendly and interactive.

Lavadoporencargo is an on-demand laundry and drying web service. The goal was to make the experience more friendly and interactive: making ordering the service, comparing prices, and completing the purchase simple and clear, on any device.

I worked on the end-to-end UX/UI product design —responsive, desktop, and mobile— and built a Design System with tokens and components in Figma to ensure consistency across the entire interface.

COMPLETE PROJECT

My role

I led the product design of the service, from the user journey to the final interface and the design system that supports it.

My work included defining the project phases, designing flows (homepage, checkout process, price comparison), responsive UI design, and creating a Design System with tokens and reusable components.

The design decisions aimed to make the service more user-friendly and interactive, while ensuring that the design foundation maintained consistency across all components and devices.

The challenge

The service worked, but the experience needed to be clearer, friendlier, and more interactive: helping the user understand the service, compare prices, and complete the purchase without friction.

At the same time, the interface had to be consistent across all components and responsive on all devices. The challenge was to improve the experience and, at the same time, build a design foundation —tokens and components— that would guarantee that consistency and allow it to evolve.

A more user-friendly experience on a consistent system

The focus was twofold: to make the purchasing journey simpler and more interactive for the user, and to give the product a design foundation that would maintain consistency beyond a single delivery.

I started with what the service wanted to solve and what the business was looking for to redefine the key flows; in parallel, I built tokens and components so that every screen —on desktop and mobile— spoke the same visual language.

How I approached it

01

Analysis of the product and its flows

The first step was to understand the logic of the platform: how campaigns were configured, how content was managed, what information users needed, and where the main frictions appeared. We analyzed existing screens, user journeys, and patterns to detect inconsistencies, duplications, and opportunities for improvement.

This work made it possible to identify which parts of the product needed more clarity, which actions should be prioritized, and what structure could best sustain the platform's growth.

02

Information architecture redefinition

We worked on a new organization of content, modules, and pathways to facilitate navigation within the product.

The focus was on simplifying access to key information, reducing cognitive load, and streamlining complex processes without eliminating the functional depth that a B2B platform required.

The architecture needed to help users understand where they were, what they could do, and what decisions they needed to make at any given moment.

03

User flow design

We defined and reviewed the key user flows to represent main tasks within the platform.

These helped connect user needs, business rules, and technical structure, facilitating clearer conversations with product and development. The goal was for each user journey to have a more direct, consistent, and easy-to-maintain logic in future iterations.

04

UX/UI redesign of version 5

Based on the defined architecture and flows, we work on the visual and interactive evolution of the platform.

We design interface proposals aimed at improving information hierarchy, readability, consistency between modules, and efficiency in frequent tasks.

05

Creating a scalable Design System

One of the main focuses was to create a common design foundation to organize the interface and accelerate future product evolutions.

The system included reusable components, interaction patterns, visual criteria, and a structure designed to improve collaboration between design and development.

06

Prototyping and decision making

The prototypes made it possible to explore solutions, review behaviors, and facilitate decision-making before moving towards implementation.

They also functioned as a communication tool with stakeholders, product, and development, reducing ambiguities and helping to validate the design direction.

How I approached it

01

Project phases and wireframes

Definition of phases and the user journey with wireframes, to organize the experience before the UI.

02

Key flow design

Redesign of the Home flows, purchasing process, and price comparison, prioritizing clarity and interaction.

03

Design Tokens

Definition of tokens to guarantee consistency of color, typography, and spacing across all components.

04

Components

Reusable component library to build the interface in a consistent and scalable way.

05

Responsive UI

Design of screens for all devices (desktop and mobile), maintaining system consistency.

How I approached it

Leadership responsibilities

  • Definition of journey phases and wireframes.

  • Flow design: home, checkout process, and price comparison.

  • Design Tokens for consistency.

  • Reusable component library.

  • Responsive UI (desktop + mobile).

Learning

This project reinforced that even an everyday service wins when design works on two layers at once: the user experience and the system that supports it.

Making a product "friendlier and more interactive" is not solved just by tweaking screens: it needs clear flows and a foundation of tokens and components that maintains consistency across all devices.

At Lavadoporencargo, redesigning the journey alongside the design system made the experience clearer for the user and more solid and scalable for the team.
